Frostop | Our Story

A Baton Rouge landmark since the 1950s

A Baton Rouge landmark since the 1950s

Frostop has been sitting on Government Street long enough to become part of the city's furniture. The sign, the frozen mugs, the Lot-A-Burger — nothing much has changed, and that's exactly the point.
The drive-in years

The drive-in years

Frostop started in the 1950s as a drive-in where cars gathered around the place waiting to be served. That spirit — pull up, get your order, stay a while — is still the whole idea.
The jukebox still works

The jukebox still works

The 1950s and '60s theme never left — you can still play your favorite songs on a 50-year-old jukebox while you eat. Some things you just don't fix.
The mug, the foam, the burger

The mug, the foam, the burger

Frostop's icy cold root beer comes in a frozen glass mug, with a foam cap that earns the slogan. Pair it with the famous Lot-A-Burger and you'll see why people keep coming back.
Still on Government Street

Still on Government Street

The original Frostop hasn't moved — 402 Government Street, Baton Rouge, same as always. Come find the big mug sign and stay for lunch.
